This was a great exhibition stand design project to work on, and it was great to see the stand being built to the exact specifications and designs that these visuals show. Basically these haulage events are normally quite dull, and every stand simply plonks a couple of trailers on for people to look around.

This is really boring, after all these are trade show, so most people know what a trailer / truck looks like. GE were moving into a more service as opposed to product oriented market, and I felt that there stand design should reflect this. To that end I designed a space for meetings and networking, based a round a bar derived from one side of a trailer. The stand was a huge hit and was take across europe where it met with an enthusiastic reception from all who visited it.

The exhibition stand was designed using trusty old paper and pen until I was happy with the general layout and feel of the space. The exhibition stand floor space layout was then drawn up in illustrator to ensure that everything worked to scale and that everything would fit nicely into the space. The 3d designs were then created, building the space to scale using 3D Studio max and Vray to render the scene.
