Honda ‘Power of Dreams’ 3d interiors

Honda intro

This is work produced at ripe for Honda. The brief was quite open to say the least. basically, ‘bring the power of dreams into the dealerships.’ My answer to this centered around bringing many of the related Honda activities into the dealership, things like motorsport and Asimo, the Honda robot. This would be achieved through the use if interactive technology and through the use of a modular display ‘dream-zone’ to showcase Honda technologies and products.

Image of the dealership exterior showing the ‘dream-zone’ circular area to the front. The dealership is based on the one in Leeds in terms of shape and scale. I popped down the the Leeds dealership with my camera and a tape measure, o ensure that the visuals were at least vaguely accurate !

The central key area is the ‘dream-zone’ which can be scaled up or down depending on available space. A key quadrant to this is allows the visitor to sit and experience a branded honda ‘dream’ though an audio visual experience using speakers and 3 plasma screens. The user can experience driving an F1 car, or going up in a hot air baloon. The whole thing is driven by a touch screen where the user chooses a ‘dream’ to experience. This may all sound a little far fetched, but we did actually build the whole thing and author the software to make it work ! Here’s a spin around the dream zone, click the image to play the video.

This short video sequence shows one of the many animations that were created to demo how the touch screens around the dealership would work. Note we even went to the trouble of getting Mr Honda (Garrison Keiller) to do the voice overs for us ! Above is a 3d render of one of the interactive information points that would be used neat to a car to give the customers information,
