ISIS Granary Wharf ‘HUB’ marketing suite
Design and full 3d visual of a new customer focused ‘Hub’ for ISIS at Granary Wharf in leeds.
This was created for ISIS waterside regeneration, for their new customer information centre located in one of the Dark Arches, at the Granary Wharf site in leeds.
If you are familiar with Leeds and the Dark Arches you will recognize where the ‘HUB’ is going to be located. I visited the site and spoke with the the site manager to have a look around the arch that was being renovated to accommodate the ‘HUB’. It was apparent from discussions on site that the roof inside the space would take up a significant amount of space as it needed to have waterproofing and drainage built into it. I took away a set of architects plans so that i could clearly understand the amount of space available.
I designed everything inside the space, the initial layout, the staircase positioning, the upstairs office space etc, basically the whole shooting match. Initially the client was interested in putting in a spiral staircase, so one of my initial sets of designs showed this. It was obvious though that the spiral staircase needed to be positioned centrally stop people banging their heads on the ceiling when going up to the office floor ! To this end I redesigned the space with a more traditional staircase that made much better use of the space. All the designs were visualised entirely in 3D using 3D Studio Max and Vray.
